This past Saturday, the family of Mary Clerkin Higgins gathered in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York to celebrate her life and to scatter her ashes in Silver Lake. Walker, Ana and I carried her out to the deep water at the far end of the lake, a place Mary loved dearly, and bid her goodbye at last.
