There is a photo on Facebook that I can't seem to copy and paste for all to see.....it shows a priest climbing a ladder and then "cleaning" the stained glass windows in front of him.....and he wipes clean large swath of the painted figural panel.
It reminded me about 10 years or so ago, there was a st. glass tour/meeting meeting in a church loft near the stained glass windows.....and the custodian came and told/asked us about his cleaning the windows and all the "dirt" that came off on his cloth.
Well, we all gulped and suggested he NOT clean any more windows as he "may" be removing paint that was not fired sufficiently.....he was not sure what we meant!!!
