Continuing the theme of lead. In a restoration in which the lead is very deteriorated How do you usually act? Is there a way to keep it and make it more stable? ¿Try using new lead? What would be your advice?

The window will tell you what to do. The questions are:
1- is the window historically important
2- is the lead also historically important or of artistic merit.
3- is the window going back to the original building or in a controlled environment
4- is there "protection" glazing
5- is there money for extreme lead restoration

Once the questions are answered, then you select the restoration techniques needed:
1- relead
2- partial relead
3- lead repairs
4-additional support bars or fins
