OK I'm having a senior moment. I can't remember how I get a jpg image from the desk top on my Mac, to the desk top on my Windows desk top. To then open it in Glass eye. I thought I just drag it but it keeps jumping back to the Mac desktop.
Are there any Mac heads out there who can guide this tech challenge and frustrated artists. I'm sure I'll kick my self when I'm clued into how I've done it before.

I don't know anything about a Mac, but I can tell you how to get it into GlassEye once you get it in Windows somewhere.

Hallie,
As you know, I use a MAC, but sometimes I have to use a PC.
When I need to get pictures from the MAC to the PC, I just copy the photos in jpeg on the desk top of my MAC, insert a memory stick and copy them onto the stick. Then just use the memory stick to download them onto the PC.
From what you are decribing it sounds like you have the MAC and the PC connected to each other via USB cables or whatever. I have seen two MAC's connected to each other as well as two PC's, but never a MAC and a PC together....I didn't know one could do that.

Try emailing the jpeg to your PC and then open it in Glass Eye.

I have a macbook with a duel processor so it will run windows as well.
I swear I've done this before but it's been long enough that that my brain has selected to edit the info. I thought I used to just drag the jpg from mac desk top to windows desk top and open glass eye. but as i said it jump right back to the mac desk top. I'll try the memory stick technique.

Has anyone had experience with a Mac OS 10.4.11 running Parallels, then running Glass Eye off that?

:•) Not completely, but I saw a demonstration by Ken Leap using Glass Eye Software for architectural scaled designs which can be printed out in large format. The initial turn off was that many letterhead pieces of paper would have to be spliced together and that it was not Mac friendly. I now see that Glass Eye is saying that the Mac Parallels program will run on Macs that have the Intel chip, so, I'm going to try it. This is perhaps the only reason I would want my Mac to behave like a PC!

GlassEye will also print to a large format plotter/printer if you have one or can find someone with one. Some Kinkos and Office Depots and Office Max's have them. Also some architectural or engineering firms or independent print shops.

I run Glass Eye on my Mac OS10 using VM wear Fusion, and open it in Window. on my duel processor.

There are a fair number of users who run Glass Eye under Windows on a MAC and it works just dandy. Newer MACs with the dual processor can run both Windows and MAC OS at the same time and switch back and forth between the two, as opposed to the older MACs which could only run one at a time.
It does take a program such as Parallels to run Windows on a MAC. I've heard rumblings that the newest MACs may have this embedded in the MAC OS, but I don't know for sure since I have not checked it out. Last year, Parallels was $99.
Glass Eye will work the same on any Windows operating system from Windows 95 through the new Windows 7. I did this year's Glass Eye workshop in Buffalo on a laptop running Windows 98. My desktop in the office runs Glass Eye under XP. I have had no problems with Glass Eye. However, Bill Gates visits me daily with deficiencies and bugs in his operating systems. My next computer will be a MAC!, although it will cost me about $2,000 in software for MAC versions of Illustrator, Quickbooks, etc, etc.
You will need a licensed copy of Windows to load on your MAC. If you already own an older version such as Windows 98 or XP on a laptop and have the CD, you can save yourself some money if you are only going to use it for Glass Eye.
