Do I need something in the bottom of this design, I have tried a few different things but don't like it. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks Michael

Michael: If you like it, it's probably fine, after all, you're the boss! Or you can continue to try stuff.
I suggest, if you choose the latter course, that you consult Celtic source material. Maybe that'll inspire you to find your ideal solution.
I'm curious about what size you plan to make it?

Looks fine to me as is.
Only possible thing might be to continue the vertical lines down from the top with the additional three little circles (are those little one inch mini-bevels?). That may make it a little too Deco, tho... and sort of spoils the over-all curvilinear motif.
Sometimes it's best just to stop and not over think a design....;-))))

Yeah they are 1in round jewels or bevels, whatever you want to call them.

If you have the time, patience, and where-with-all try it just as you have it now, then cut whatever variations strike your fancy and just try them out in that spot you are not sure of. Look at each one and ponder it a bit. This is something I have done in the past myself. It is, after all, YOUR artwork and you should be comfortable with it.
Sometimes, however, less is more....
