On Monday evening, November 14, Arizona Glass Alliance will host a presentation by Mary Clerkin Higgins, an award winning artist and conservator who has worked in stained glass since 1976. Mary’s new work has been selected for Corning Museum’s New Glass Review 36 and received an AGNX award of excellence from the American Glass Guild’s juried show. She has written about and lectured internationally on stained glass, and restored panels from the 12th century to the present for numerous museums and institutions around the country, while also creating new works of art at her Brooklyn studio. Mary’s talk, which is titled “Let’s See What Emerges”, will focus on her unique individual pieces, but she’ll also give us a little insight on her work as a conservator as well. For more information about Mary take a look at her website, http://www.clerkinhigginsstainedglass.com.
This event, which will begin at 7:30 PM, will be held at the Stonegate clubhouse which is located at 11551 E. Mountain View Road in Scottsdale. You’ll enjoy getting to know Mary and her work, both as an artist and a conservator.
