OK, I give, I have been to dozens of other boardsk, posted and read all the comments, I cannot for the life of me , figure out this board.
Is it me? or is it the program? AH what is it doing you ask? Nothing, that is the problem, I cannot read other posts, because while it says there are 260 posts in 59 topics, I can't see any of them, posts or topics. I see that in Restoration, Rebecca is looking for a sample of a glass that the administrator has decided, that I am not allowed to see? What is with that? I see a .jpg there, I click it and "poof" I'm whisked away to a neverland of stupidity that says while I am logged in, nope can't see that cause "I said so"
Ok, I'm exagerating, of course, but no where can I find answers about how to manuver my way around these forums and read all the topics, which I would like to in order to catch up with what is going on here.
any and all help appreciated
Help received, and appreciated, much smoother navigating, have sent membership to operate the PM portion, but still wonder about those pictures of glass samples that seem to have vanished!!

They are really fascinating - I will send them to you if you want. (It's dirty glass with tiny stars.)

Steve,
You may want to delete your cookies from IE or Firefox, which ever you are using.
Also, reset the cookies to this board. It can be found on the Login Box when you are loging in to the board.
Let me know if that helps.

This is strange, never had it happen before.
Reset cookies for this site after deleting all cookies in the IETemp folder, loaded the lates Firefox version, get the same results whether it is IE or FIrefox, and when I right click and copy and paste the address from the properties box I get:
Sorry, you do not have permission to download this attachment in this forum. You may probably perform this action after you login. If you are not a member, you can register here. If you are already logged in then the administrator of the board does not allow this action. Should you have any questions, please contact bulletinboard@americanglassguild.org.
I get this message as I am lodded in as Steve, so??? confused am I
Have yet to see a picture on here other than avatars by posters. SO somebody forward Rebecca's photo to me, I have a big crate full of old glass from office doors in the early years.

Fess up, sure , I have nothing to hide. I had the members profile section hidden from the Non-AGG members . I did not want to have the members bothered by possible spam. TI will bring this up with the Directors and it wll be up to them as to the actions they want to take.

So does that mean when someone attaches a pic to a forum message it is stored in their profile?
I could see avatars of posters, it was the pic of the glass sample, which I assume was attached to the message.
all works now, so good to go...

It's not just you-- I can't figure this out, either.

R: I think so. After some trial-and-error, I think I get it. The instructions were a bit ambiguous. How about starting a separate section for "Scholarship and Research" or something like that? L

I am having a problem. Seems that as I am reading the different posts and my mouse skims over the "ignore member" box it clicks on that and that particular person's posts are hidden. I don't see a way to reverse it. Can you help?

Near the top of the board there is a band that says, "Home...Search...Menu..."
Click on "Menu" and a box will open. One of the choices in the box is "My Account."
Click on 'My Account" and on the left is a column ending with "Ignore."
Click on "Ignore" and you can choose to stop ignoring the person or persons.
